Become a member

Do you have an inordinate fondness for native bees?

Your membership helps build and sustain the California Native Bee Society.
Members support the growth of a statewide community dedicated to understanding, conserving, and celebrating California’s 1,600+ species of native bees.

We host monthly virtual meetings that bring together gardeners, community scientists, students, researchers, and more from across California and beyond. In the coming months, we will expand our programming to include in-person tabling events around the state and to develop the following initiatives:

  • Field trips to observe native bees in their natural habitats across California

  • Educational opportunities focused on native bee biology, identification, and habitat restoration

  • Collaborations with partner organizations, including work toward a California Pollinator License Plate
