Upcoming Talk
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month on Zoom at 6:30 pm.

May 12: What’s Buzz’n in Humboldt?
Since he was founded in 1989, he has been researching the insect kingdom. His lifelong passion for these amazing animals has led him to develop several educational programs for the public. His first program was developed in 2013 for Wyndham in Sedona, Arizona. He was later recognized for his unique talents by the California State Parks where he was allowed to create new insect programs for the Northern Redwoods District starting the summer of 2024 where his success has led him to pursue his dream as an independent insect educator. Join the upcoming meeting to learn from Silver Bees to insect populations restoring Salmon populations, and more about what bees are up to in Humboldt.

Nominate a State Bee!
California is home to more native bee species than 1,600 bee species, but it doesn’t yet have an official State Bee. The California Native Bee Society is launching a statewide effort to nominate and select a species that represents our remarkable native pollinators. Help us choose California’s State Bee by submitting your nomination.
